We install comprehensive P.E.T. and P.E.T./C.T. shielding systems for a wide variety of medical units. The shielding systems consists of plywood panels laminated with lead sheets of varying thicknesses or the N-Series Nelco interlocking lead brick system, based on final physics design. One of the major differences in P.E.T. shielding as compared to other types of shielding is the amount and extent of shielding required. The lead thickness for walls and ceilings can be and much as 1" (60 lbs. sq. ft.). Heavier door systems require special consideration as well.
